info

Attentive to political tension, collective consciousness and the influence of advanced capitalism I try to encompass some of what seems ungraspable, fascinating and scary.
My work consists of a large visual material curated and presented differently for each exhibition and publication of it. Urbanity is key to the work – the photographic pictures examining the beauty, ambiguity and absurdities of the urban space as center for capital and revolutionary politics.

I make pictures in a future military training area in Altmark, Germany called Schnöggersburg – the artificial city consisting of 520 buildings will make up an uninhabitable metropolis with space for half a million people. I present the pictures in context of other photographs from European and American cities. I believe that complex questions should not be discussed as isolated issues, but instead must be considered in relation to the surrounding world that both leads to these challenges but also unavoidably will be affected by the decisions to come.
